When you log in, a charcoal-black button called “post new entry” emerges just above and to the left of this post. Post responses here to readings connected to our April 11 meeting with Sri Kurianawan, and our continuing discussion on interface on April 18.
Non-required questions: how do experience and reason affect the process of design, and especially the design of Human-Computer Interfaces and other ‘prosthetics’? How does that process change when design is undertaken in collaboration with, and on behalf of, communities separate from the designer? Finally, engaging with issues of interface and prosthetics, what are the implications for ‘subjects’ (i.e. our identities, our forms of autonomy, sense of completeness in a task or narrative, our sense of agency in relation to interface and prosthesis)?
[Not all of the above questions are relavent to all the readings, necessarily.]
